More than 50 years ago, a handful of senior leaders from the world's faith traditions began to explore the possibility of organizing a "religious summit." They felt the urgent need to support believers around the world who wished to take action toward achieving world peace. Since its inception, Religions for Peace, accredited to the United Nations, has worked to address some of humanity’s most pressing challenges.
Today, Religions for Peace is the world’s largest and most representative multi-religious coalition. Representing 92 countries on six continents, senior leaders from all of the world’s historic, living religions, come together to foster interfaith dialogue around tangible solutions for peace.

Religions for Peace selected Mindsailing as its partner to help develop and advance its global digital communications. Mindsailing developed communications strategies and a digital platform that can serve as a destination for the global conversation around peace.
Since its origin, Religions for Peace has focused on “deeply held, widely shared values” in the global human community. These values help shape meaningful dialogue, build relationships and provide tools for communities to collaborate on efforts that affect all of us. The website is a digital extension of these efforts, providing a global hub where faith leaders and communities can connect.
The site reflects shared labors for peace, and best practices and resources for equipping multi-religious action to transform conflict, stop war, build communities, and protect the Earth. The site includes a directory that connects users with local, national, regional, and international Religions for Peace communities.
